He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Silva and Elena Silva (Sousa); and his sister Marcelina Lima. He is survived by: his wife Maria Silva (Lourenco); his children, Cristiano M. Silva, Jose A. Silva, George H. Silva, Manuel H. Silva, Victor R. Silva and Mario F. Silva; and his siblings, Eugenia Lima, Angelina, Antonio, Jose, Manuel, Teodoce, Belmiro and Joao Silva.
