It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carole Jane McKiernan (Providence, Rhode Island), who passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel McKiernan; her parents, George Hanson and Hazel Hanson (Smith); her brother John Hanson; and her daughter-in-law Christina McKiernan.
She is survived by: her sons, Daniel P. McKiernan of Providence, Sean McKiernan (Michelina McKiernan) of Weston, CT and Brendan McKiernan (Elizabeth McKiernan) of Glastonbury, CT; her grandchildren, Thomas, Bridget, Patrick, Daniel, Mary, Caitlyn, Kathryn and Deirdre McKiernan; and her great grandchild Thomas McKiernan Jr..
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 8:45 AM at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home (331 Smith St, Providence, RI 02908). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius V Church (240 Eaton St, Providence, RI 02908).
