He was predeceased by: his wife Elena A. Spinella (Salvati); his parents, Carmelo Spinella and Francesca Spinella (Pino); and his siblings, Salvatore Spinella, Josephine Barletta, Benjamin Spinella, Anthony Spinella, Frank Spinella, Mary Pina, Rinaldo Spinella and Orlando Spinella.

He is survived by: his children, Raymond A. Spinella (Rosanna), Edward C. Spinella (Lisa), Susan F. Skunza (Luke) and Joseph J. Spinella (Lisa); his grandchildren, Marc, Steven, Nicholas, Zachary, Jacob, Cory, Jack and Maya; and his great grandchildren, Madison and Brandon.
