He is survived by: his wife Maria Augusta Domingues (Loureiro); his daughters, Helena Armstrong (late James R. Sr.) and Odete Armstrong (Stephen); his grandchildren, Colleen Foster (Christopher), James R. Armstrong, Jr., Kyle Armstrong (Alicia) and Lauren Armstrong; his great grandchildren, Brendan Foster, Katherine Foster, Tyler Armstrong, Ryan Foster and Ethan Armstrong; and his friend Jose Lopes.
