It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Zelia Bairos of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernesto Bairos; her parents, Antonio Nunes and Filomena Nunes (Batista); her grandson Kevin; and her brother Jose Batista.
She is survived by: her children, Agnelo, Maria Bairos of Rehoboth, MA., Nelia Cunha (late Manuel) of Portsmouth, Juvenalia Sousa (late Antonio) of Santa Maria, Azores and Aida Teodoro (Antonio) of East Providence; and her grandchildren, Karie, Mufalda, Maura, Dario, Lisana, Melissa, Brandon and Geana.
