He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Winifred Silvia (Wilson); his parents, Alfred Silvia and Beatrice Silvia (Oliveira); his children, Patricia Silvia (Robert Gagnon) of Lakeville, MA, Joseph Silvia of Westbrook, CT and Joanne Silvia of Lakeville, MA; his grandchildren, Danielle Gagnon, Emily Gagnon, Rosemary Gagnon, Kelsey Shaffer, Paul Joseph George and Benjamin George; and his siblings, Peter Silvia of Portsmouth, RI and Rose Carey of Mt. Washington, KY..
He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as spent Sundays for many decades prior to the Covid pandemic volunteering as an usher at Eight o'clock mass at St. Mary's Church in Newport.
