He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel J. Araujo Sr. and Laura Araujo (Amaral); and his siblings, Lucille Reis and John Araujo. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Albernaz (Ronald "Rocky" Cloutier), Kevin Araujo and Stacy Darling (Thomas); his siblings, Michael "Bartch" Araujo (Mary Ann) and Donna Hastie (Charles); his grandchildren, Jordan Albernaz, Alexa Araujo, Kameron Araujo, Cody Albernaz and Emily Darling; and his great grandchild Skylar Ballinger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
