Barbara K. Fenimore Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara K. Fenimore of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara K. Fenimore to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Kircher and Lilian Larson Kircher. She is survived by: her brother Robert Kircher; her daughter Krista Hook; her grandchildren, Isabella, Joey and Claire; her great grandchild Rebecca Burnside; her grandchild Chris Burnside; her great grandchild Amelia; her grandchild Yui Fenimore; her great grandchildren, Jamis and Henry; and also John H. Fenimore VI.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Neill-Hayes Funeral Home (465 Spring St, Newport, RI 02840). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (42 Spring St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery and Memorial Park (983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Barbara's memory to any one of these charities, Lupus Foundation of America https://www.lupus.org. , St. Joseph's Indian School https://www.stjo.org.

“I am sorry to hear of Barbara’s death, my sympathies to all her family. We were fellow RI Wild Plant Society members and notably the Seedstarters group which met in Portsmouth for many years.
