Marghertia Rose Thayer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marghertia Rose Thayer of Peace Dale, Rhode Island, who passed away on July 20, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Henry H. Thayer, Jr.; her parents, Giovanni Salerno and Francesca Salerno (Maiorana); her children, Frances A. Thayer of Peace Dale and Henry H. Thayer, III (Paula) of Wakefield; her grandchildren, Audrey J. Scott, Henry H. Thayer, IV and Heather L. Balbi; her great grandchildren, Grace, Kelsey and Ashley Scott; her cousin Joyce Shiels; and her siblings, Nicola and Charles Salerno. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews.
Thayer was a lifelong communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Wakefield and it is her wish that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to: St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield, Rl 02879.
