Ruth J. Borden Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2025, at the age of 89, Ruth J. Borden of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James H. Borden; her parents, John J., Sr. and Ruth Kent (Thurber); and her siblings, Helene Rebello and John Kent.
She is survived by: her children, David Silva of Florida, Jacquelyn Silva of North Providence, Diane Violo of Florida and Donna Silva (Kevin Miniati) of Pawtucket; her stepdaughters, Debbie Johnson of Florida and Sherri Turay of East Providence; and her brother Gary Kent (Natalie) of East Providence. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home (1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861-2594). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Of St. John Paul II Parish (755 Central Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861-2148).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pawtucket Animal Shelter, c/o 121 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02860, in Jackie's memory.
