With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Louis Provencher of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 23, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily Provencher and Eugene Provencher; his sisters, Eveline Champagne, Jeanne Lamoureux and Louise Provencher; and his son-in-law Edward P. Barber.

He is survived by: his wife Jo A. Provencher; his children, Melissa Shirely (Thomas) of Warwick, RI, Kristin Barber of Pawtucket, RI, Eric Mello (Lisa) of Cumberland, RI and Matthew Provencher of Pawtucket, RI.; his grandchildren, Craig Montecalvo, Victoria Giroux (Kevin), John Mello and Kaitlyn Mello; his great grandchildren, Eric and Lily Giroux; and his great-niece Giabella Lamoureux. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
