Porfirio R. Dacanay Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Porfirio R. Dacanay of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on November 12, 2024. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Porfirio R. Dacanay to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Porfirio Dacanay and Alvava Dacanay (Rosal); and his siblings, Renerio Dacanay, Matthew Dacanay, Loreto Antonio and Nida Sison.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Dacanay (Flynn); his daughter Jennifer Pestonit (Luis) of Winter Park, Florida.; his granddaughters, Jackelyn Dacanay and Alexa Benjamin of Pawtucket; and his siblings, Delia Valena, Celeste Olivar, Melba Bello of Pawtucket, Elizabeth Angud, Joji Dacanay of Oxnard, California., Percy Dacanay of Seekonk and Danilo Dacanay of Oxnard, California.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home (220 Cottage St., Pawtucket, RI 02860). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Cecilia Church - Saint John (745 Central Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861). The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Notre Dame Cemetery (359 Daggett Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861).
