He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard P. Fitzgerald and Mary M. Fitzgerald (O'Connor); and his siblings, David Fitzgerald, Edward Fitzgerald, Linda Fitzgerald and James Fitzgerald.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanne L. Fitzgerald (Brousseau); his daughters, Kelley A. Sullivan (Timothy) of Burrillville and Jeanne M. Fitzgerald of Pawtucket; and his granddaughter Haley M. Smith of Burrillville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
