He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao Vaz Mourao and Teresa Martins Cortez; and his sibling Serafim Mourao. He is survived by: his wife Maria Mourao (Barreira); his sons, John Mourao (Nina) of Rehoboth and Manuel Mourao (Silvia) of Rehoboth; his grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas, Mia and Madilyn Mourao; his great grandchild Paisley; and his siblings, Rosa Cascalheira (late Manuel), Lurdes Ribiero (Antonio) and Helena Costa (Luis). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home (1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861-2594). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Teresa Church (358 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861).
