She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Paul Lama; her parents, Joseph Damiani and Assuntina Damiani (Paoli); her sons, Paul F. Lama and Barry T. Lama; her grandchildren, Robert Kairnes of Shrewsbury, MA, Paul Lama, Tina Church and Angela Mullen of Warwick; her great grandchildren, Bradley Kairnes, Benjamin Kairnes, Jamison Mullen, Jaxson Mullen, Emerson Church, Gentry Church and Davina Church; and her siblings, Lena Taylor (Clyde), Doris Proulx (Lionel), Pauline Dulieu (George) and Robert Damiani.
She is survived by: her son Wayne S. Lama; her sister Carol Dick (Robert); her sister-in-law Jane Damiani; and her daughter-in-law Claudia Lama.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home (220 Cottage St., Pawtucket, RI 02860). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Of Holy Family Parish (195 Walcott St, Pawtucket, RI 02860). A burial will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mount Saint Mary Cemetery (661 Prospect St, Pawtucket, RI 02860).
A woman ahead of her time, Josephine worked for over five decades at Independent Square Foundation as a secretary, only being forcefully pressured to retire due to the global pandemic of 2020.
