He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemary McDermott (O'Neil); his parents, Lillian McDermott (Cornell) and John J. McDermott Sr.; and his siblings, James E. McDermott and Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Jack Mercier, Eden O'Neill, Clyde Marovelli, Morgan, Dante Marovelli and Jamison LeBarron. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
