He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Monaghan and Mary Monaghan (Gecawich); and his brother Andrew Monaghan (Dorothy). He is survived by: his wife Constance Monaghan (Gingras); his sons, Kevin J. Monaghan and Timothy J. Monaghan (Crystal) of Pawtucket; his grandson Timothy Jr.; and his sister Mary Cain (James) of New Canaan, CT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
