She was predeceased by: her husband Roland J. Genest; her parents, Joseph Bergeron and Marie Bergeron (Lamoureux); her daughter Lorraine Genest; and her granddaughter Cheryl Bullerwell.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Buteau (Kenneth) of Pawtucket, Gerard Genest (Dianne) of Attleboro, MA, Robert Genest (Barbara) of Taunton, MA, Arthur Genest (Karen) of Pawtucket and Roger Genest (Tammy) of Lincoln, ME; her grandchildren, Michelle Wain, Keith Buteau, Joshua Buteau, Sr. and Jessica Moran; her great grandchildren, Madyson Wain, Joshua Buteau, Jr., Jackson Buteau, Trinity Genest, Kal and Xzavier Moran; and her siblings, Blanche Marie Bergeron, Jeannette Paquin, Edna Pyne, Loretta Cunha, Arthur Bergeron, Therese Marziasz, Lillianne Depot, Clarice McCormick and Gerard Bergeron. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home (1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861-2594). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (68 Slater St, Pawtucket, RI 02860).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. John the Baptist Church would be appreciated.
