She was predeceased by: her husband Edmund J. Pollitt, Jr.; her parents, Austin, Sr. Thorpe and Marion Thorpe (Green); and her siblings, Barbara LaFountaine, Austin Thorpe, Jr., Donald Thorpe and Sandra McGee.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne Schondek (Joseph) of Pawtucket, Walter Mercier (Rosemary) of Canterbury, CT, William Mercier, Sr. (Robin) of Attleboro, Donna Holland (Louis Tomaselli) of Cranston and Amy Fontaine (Brian) of Rehoboth; and her grandchildren, Jessica, John, Katherine, Walter, Caroline, William, Jr., Kristen, Amanda, Kellie, Aidan, Brady and Camden. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
