He is survived by: his wife Janet Wood (Melone); his sons, George H. Wood III of Pascoag, Thomas M. Wood (SueAnn) of Thompson, CT and Gregory F. Wood (Magin) of Carrollton, TX; his siblings, Raymond, Alan, Bruce, Douglas, Charles, Cathryn, Ann and Susan; and his grandchildren, Catherine Wood, John Greb (Heather), Sophia Wood, Nicara McLaughlin and Joseph Wood.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Boucher Funeral Home (272 Sayles Ave, Pascoag, RI 02859). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (183 Sayles Ave, Pascoag, RI 02859). The military honors was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Cemetery.
