He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Peter Contre, Colette Richard (Ernest, Renee McCooey), Michael Contre and John Contre; his grandchildren, Danielle, Jeffrey, Stacy, Kristen, Kimberly and Lisa; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Camden; and his siblings, Pauline Desaulniers and Annette Contre. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
