It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred L. Wowk of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 24, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred L. Wowk to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Wowk; her parents, William LaClaire and Carrie LaClaire (Hall); her son Gregg Wowk; and her siblings, Harold, Lawrence LaClair and Olive Maynard.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Frayne (Sharon Pagliarini) of Smithfield, Stephen Wowk (Maureen) and Melinda O'Donnell (John) of Slatersville; her grandchildren, Michael Frayne, Kristina, Bradley Harris, Amanda and Joshua Wowk; and her great grandchild Carter Faith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holt Funeral Home (510 S Main St, Woonsocket, RI 02895). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Slatersville Congregational Church (25 Greene St, North Smithfield, RI 02876). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Slatersville Cemetery.
