Lionel P. Carreiro Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lionel P. Carreiro of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Lionel's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Lionel's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Carreiro and Lydia Carreiro (Bragantin). He is survived by: his wife Janice Mowry Carreiro; his sisters, Lydia (Tom Sheckels), Linda (John Baker), Paula (Peter Valerio) and Pamela; and his godmother Mary Barbour. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins & longtime friends.
A prayer was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. James Cemetery.
