He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Sylvestre (Baillargeon); and his parents, Rene Sylvestre and Constance Sylvestre (Leveillee). He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Sylvestre (David Paterson) of Pawtucket; his brother Arthur Sylvestre of Woonsocket; his grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan and Brook; and his great grandchildren, Jacobi and Jasper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Road, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
