With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan M. Decosta of North Scituate, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joan farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Gath and Madeline McDermott Gath; her caregiver David DeCosta; her daughter Doreen Briggs of Jessup, Maryland; her grandchildren, Samantha Schultheis and Logan DeCosta; her great grandchild Jayden Anderson; her siblings, Deborah Capizano (Louis) and Dennis Gath (Kim); her son Daniel DeCosta; and her brother Richard Gath.
