He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Dempsey Edward Wells Sr. and Beatrice Marie Wells (Johnson); and his sibling Dempsey E. Wells. He is survived by: his wife Karen A. Amado-Wells; his children, Peter C. Wells Jr. (Carla) of Charlotte, NC and Sonya Y. Wells of Atlanta, GA; his granddaughters, Sala Blue Risby and Rue Wells-Risby; his daughters, Nickia, Kimberly Monteiro and Alexandra Edwards; and his granddaughters, Stone and Tikeya Monteiro (Edwinna Adel Wells). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
