He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Nachbar and Bessie Nachbar (Arons); his daughter Stephanie Rainey (Nachbar); and his siblings, Sylvia Penn, Evelyn Rose, Isadore, Robert, Leon and Howard Nachbar.
He is survived by: his wife Rona Nachbar (Namerow); his granddaughters, Rachel, Elayna and Rebecca; and his son-in-law Neal Rainey (Alyssa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
