He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Donato and Eugenia Donato (Fahmy); and his wife Joanne Pasquarelli Donato. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle D. Ficocelli (Anthony) and Melanie L. Donato; his grandchildren, Michael and Alexis Ficocelli; and his siblings, Josephine Nassaney, Basil A. Donato and Syrian. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who he, with his wife.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Pontarelli-Marino Home (971 Branch Ave, Providence, RI 02904). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church (1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, RI 02904).
