It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marion Chapkounian of North Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Simon Chapkounian, Sr.; her parents, Albert Zarifian and Sophie Zarifian (Leylegian); her son Simon Chapkounian, Jr.; and her siblings, George Zarifian (Joan) and Sgt. Hajop "Jack" Zarifian.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Ayers (late Anthony), Gary Chapkounian and Jack Chapkounian (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Michael (Deanna), Marissa, Simon Jack and Rosey; and her sister Louise Goorhigian (Martin).
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pontareli-Marino Funeral Home (971 Branch Ave, Providence, RI 02904). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
