Madeline Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Madeline Smith of North Providence, Rhode Island, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert W. and Mary A. Smith (Potenza); and her brother Herbert Smith. She is survived by: her son Albert E. Proffitt, III (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Albert F. Proffitt (Lindsay) and Cynthia Proffitt (Jesse Alexandre) of North Providence; her great grandchildren, Sadie Alina and Raegan Grace Proffitt; and her siblings, Sgt. Albert W. Smith, Jr., Walter Smith, Raymond Smith, Phyllis Amantea, Leila Mattera, Ethel Neri, Bernice Beardsworth and Helen Galno. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
