She was predeceased by: her husband David C. Cousins; her parents, Salvatore DiStefano and Pasqualina DiStefano (Albanese); and her sisters, Laura Bassett, Anna DelSanto and Domenica "Peachy" Cabral.

She is survived by: her children, Caroline King (Jason) of Greenville and Darren Cousins; her grandson Dylan King; and her sister Evelyn Santopadre of Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
