He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. McDonough and Winifred M. McDonough (Furman); and his sibling John. He is survived by: his sons, James M. McDonough, William F. McDonough and David P. McDonough; his sister Kathleen McLaughlin; his grandchildren, Christine McDonough and Ian J. McDonough; his great grandchild Erica McDonough; and his siblings, William, Joseph McDonough, Helen Doherty, Mary Knuettel, Anna Stanley and Theresa Judge.
