She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert W. Barnes; her parents, William Braga and Marie Braga (Muccino); her son Richard Barnes; her brother Bill Braga Jr.; and her pet Sophie.
She is survived by: her sons, William (Pamela) of Warwick, RI and Denis of North Kingstown, RI; her granddaughter Katy of Warwick, RI; her siblings, Rita Tauro (Ed) of Burlington, MA, Ed Braga (Margaret) of Arlington, MA and Richard Braga (Judy) of Oviedo, FL; and her brother-in-law J. B. Barnes (Susan) of Brackney, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
