It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Marie Scanlon (North Kingstown, Rhode Island), who passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert E. Scanlon; her parents, Edward Carr and Mary Carr (Grady); her son Robert E. Scanlon Jr.; and her sisters, Mary Wall and Theresa Flinn.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Fisher (George), Holly Galipeau (late Daniel), Erin M. Scanlon (Michael J. Feeney) and Nancy J. Poon; her son-in-law Alan Poon; and her grandchildren, Jeremiah R. Ryan, Siobhan O. Ryan-Roy, Connor D. Fisher, Patrick M. Sweeney, III, Jesse Poon, Delaney Poon and Kelsey S. Galipeau-Dixon. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
