It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved William H. Connerton Jr. (Newport, Rhode Island), who passed away at the age of 89, on October 29, 2019. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Connerton Sr. and Mary Connerton (Kelley); his sisters, Nancy Moitoza (Frank) and Mary King (John); his brother-in-law Frank Mello; and his parents-in-law, Peter Daniel Bolhouse and Gladys Estelle Bolhouse.

He is survived by: his significant other Jane Pomp Connerton (Bolhouse); and his sister Margaret Mello (Connerton). He is also survived by his seven children, and their spouses.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Newport Fire Department Fire/Rescue Boat Gift Fund, 21 West Marlborough St, Newport, St. Augustin's Church Building Fund, P.O.

“I want to offer my sincere sympathy to jane and all members of the connerton family. I think that everyone in newport knew the chief. I got to know him when we served together on the newport school committee. We were probably polar opposites in school policy, at least when we started working together. But, we were both joined in what was best for the kids, so we found ourselves to be simpatico many times over. Bill was truly dedicated to his community and served us all very well. Godspeed.”
