It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Hanley of Newport, Rhode Island, who passed away on November 16, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Johanna Patronik; her son David Hanley; her sisters, Johanna Kadziewicz, Louise Krajewski and Helen Butkus; and her mother Mary Alice.
She is survived by: her spouse Navy; her former husband Robert Hanley, Sr. (Bob); her children, Shawn Sarnosky (Vincent, Sr.) of Southboro, MA, Margaret Kirchof (Steven) of Orlando, FL, Robert Hanley, Jr. (Pamela) of Middletown, RI, Germaine San Martin (Bill) of Bristol, RI, Colleen DeSouza of Tiverton, RI and John Hanley (Rebecca) of Middletown, RI; her granddaughter Helena Mason; her children, Vincent Sarnosky, Jr., R. Otto Kirchof IV, Madison Hanley, Connor Carney, Nora Hanley, Alexis San Martin, Joseph San Martin, Christopher San Martin, Lily Belle DeSouza and Jackie DeSouza; her great grandchildren, Isabella, Kylie, Charlotte, Grace and Abigail; her sister Marcia Grisham; and her brothers-in-law, Joseph and Raymond Hanley.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the O'Neill-Hayes Funeral Home (465 Spring St, Newport, RI 02840). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Jesus Saviour Church (509 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840).
