Margaret O'Connor Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret O'Connor of Newport, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas O'Driscoll and Julia O'Driscoll (Quigley); and her significant other Christopher F. O'Connor. She is survived by: her children, Sean (Ann) of Hopkinton, MA, Mairead of East Hartford, CT and Ailish Shirley (Grant) of Knoxville, TN; her brother Jerry O'Driscoll (Donna) of Berwick, ME; her grandchildren, Emily, Brigitte, Ronan, Kate, Olivia, Christopher and Aveleen; and her nieces and nephews, Driscoll and O'Connor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Neill-Hayes Funeral Home (465 Spring St, Newport, RI 02840). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (42 Spring St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096).
