He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy E. Allan (Newton); his parents, John H. Allan and Carol Allan (Barlow); his sons, John T. and James E. Allan; his grandchildren, Justin and Jayna Allan; his sister Barbara; his nieces, Lisa and Jennifer; his nephew Gary; and his sister Jean.
