In the sacred silence of farewell, Howard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Means and Lucy Means (Toomey); and his daughter Maggie Means Price. He is survived by: his sons, Howard K. Means and Jose T. "Se" Means; and his sisters, Maureen Cray and Cathy Means Antony. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Name Church (107 Camp St, Providence, RI 02906).

“Hi Cousins, So sorry I couldn’t make it to the wake and funeral. Uncle Means was such a great guy. I remember when my parents, brothers and I were living in California and went back East to visit the Family and that was the first time I met your father, my uncle. Even though he was obviously an adult, I remember to this day he didn’t mind at all his nephews and nieces just hanging out with him. Definitely one of the best summers of my life. He will be deeply missed. Chris”
