He was predeceased by: his parents, Horton W. Edward and Evelyn Edward (Taber); his significant other Beatrice Edward; his daughter Michelle S. Edward; and his siblings, Gloria DelSesto and Forrest Edward.
He is survived by: his children, Michael S. Edward (Anne) and Margo S. Strong (Rodney Strong) of Eureka, CA.; and his grandchildren, Sean O'Loughlin, Liseanne Winters, Alyson Nadelson (Edward), Andrew Edward, Richard Shears, Phillip Edward, Mary Villalobos and Kate Edward. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Horton's name to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (mlkccenter.org) or to Continuum Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island (continuumhospice.com).
