He was predeceased by: his parents, Russel Green Spears Sr. and Grace Babcock Spears; his former wife Jean M. Spears (Champlain); his sons, Macheece and Cayne Spears; his grandson Strong Bow Spears; and his siblings, Russell Green Jr., Lance, Craig Spears and Holly Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Aileen Fauzey-Spears; his children, Robin Spears Jr. (Loren), Cassius Spears (Dawn), Wesley Dey (James), Shane Spears (Sonia), Sandy Spears and Shannon Spears; and his stepchildren, Ciera Leading-Fox (Chad), Krystal, Bria, Alexi (Maeve) and Kayl Fauzey. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
