“Dr. Jacobs was a wonderful educator, and friend. Even as she taught me the finer points of drama while I was an undergraduate, I so respected this woman for her characteristic of truth-telling. Like R.B. Reaves, and Walter Barker, she told me what I needed to know before embarking on an MA and PhD in the department. I bless them all., yet thank her in particular for her insights on life and living that she shared generously with her personal time. Joe, I left a condolence call for you and I commend you for being her chosen companion. No one could have asked for better, and I thank you too, for watching over her. She was precious, and still is, in my memories.”
