He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Plante, Jr. and Florence Ferris Plante. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Winangun, Agus of Narragansett, RI, Kate Salvi, Jayson of Providence, RI, Sarah Lefebvre and Anis Suwastawan of Quincy, MA.; his sister Janet Gray; his brother-in-law Charlie Gauvin; his daughter Joan Elizabeth Plante; and his sister Ann Plante Gauvin.
In lieu of flowers, Joe requests that you eat an ice cream cone, dance to Elvis Presley, hit a drive down the middle of the fairway, buy a BMW (a Mercedes will also do), tell your kids you love them, and treat people the way you want to be treated.
