He is survived by: his spouse Florence Cantrell (Kugler); his parent Hattie Stanton (Patton); his children, James Cantrell, Jeffrey Cantrell of Riverside, Anthony of Providence, Joanne of Providence, Leslie Ratchford of Providence, Matthew of Providence, Renita of Providence, Maureen Harris of Providence, Doreen Harris-Miller of East Providence and Aliz Harris of Central Falls; and his siblings, Billie Carey, Ronald Staton, Jeffery, Phobe, Donald, Cheryl, John Dale Cantrell and Billy Cantrell. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
