He was predeceased by: his parents, James Holder and Mary Holder (Cesario); his wife Kathleen Teehan Holder (Kitty); and his brother Bill (Cathy). He is survived by: his daughter Maureen Wieler (Bill); his grandchildren, Aidan and Kate of Pocasset, MA; his children, Roseleen Holder of Middletown and Robert of Newport; his grandchildren, Keelan and Robbie; and his siblings, Michael (Shirley), Charlie (Elaine) of Newport, Sheila Russell (Mike) and Pat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
