It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Smith of Mapleville, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Smith; and his siblings, Kenneth, Richard, Fred Smith and Marion Vickers.

He is survived by: his wife Shelly Jean Smith (Fournier); his children, Stacy Smith (Thomas Maroon), Lindsay Smith and Jason Smith (Kaitlynn Porcaro); his grandchildren, Lillian, Cody, Harley, Trevor and Lucas Smith; and his siblings, Roy, Leonard, Daniel Smith, Mary Creighton, Debra Melvin and Kathleen Garneau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
