She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Montague; her parents, Ovila, Sr. Surprenant and Cecile Surprenant (Ouimet); her daughter Karen Brown; and her sibling Ovila Surprenant, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughter Kerry Comella (Richard) of North Providence; and her sister Mary Lightbown of Swansea, MA.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
