He is survived by: his girlfriend Lorraine Poisson of Lincoln; his children, Marc Carpenter of Virginia and Laurie Malafronte (Kevin) of Taunton, MA; his siblings, Michael Carpenter (Brenda) of Glocester, RI, Deborah Spink of Chepachet, RI and Julie Doire (Dennis) of Cumberland; his sister-in-law Helen Carpenter of Woonsocket; his brother Donald Carpenter; his grandchildren, Katelyn Wilson (Matthew) of Bristol, RI, Amanda of Bristol, RI, Samantha of Bristol, RI, Nicholas Malafronte of Bristol, RI, Jennifer Carpenter of Coventry, Drew and Benjamin Poisson of Hancock, NH; his great grandchildren, Makenzie of Bristol, Grayson Wilson of Bristol and Brooklynn DeOliveira of Bristol; and also Randy Poisson of Hancock, NH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
