She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Luiz Sabino DaCosta; her parents, Manuel Furtado and Gloria Furtado (Simões); her grandchildren, Darciah Sofia Costa and Nelson Brandon Costa; her sisters, Deborah Rosa Furtado Lopes and Marilia Dora Furtado Bernardo; her son Paulo Nelson Costa (Margarida Ribeiro Costa); and her siblings, Joao Sergio Furtado and Maria Olga Pereira. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
