He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Nathaniel and Rosemell Nathaniel; his siblings, Barbara Costa, Douglas Pringle, Glenn Nathaniel, David Nathaniel and James Nathaniel; and his brothers-in-law, Lee Brockington, Tyrone Oliver and Roland Costa.
He is survived by: his wife Victoria Nathaniel; his children, John Nathaniel Jr. (Tiesha Nathaniel) of Sumter, Latoya Jay (Jerriel Jay) of Atlanta, Georgia and Latrice Green of Sumter; his stepchildren, Lee McKnight of Charleston, Teresa McCants (Alexander) of Sumter South and Carolina; and his siblings, Patricia Nathaniel of Pawtucket, Susan Davis of Pawtucket and Larry Nathaniel of Indiana. He is also survived by Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
